Due to unforeseen technical reasons, Bibliotheca Alexandrina moved the festivity date to Jun 18th. La Main à la pâte will partipate will 12 schools from Europe and South America with their measures from 12th to 15th June
This year with the pandemic, Planetarium Science Center of Bibliotheca Alexandrina. will present Eratosthenes festivities in a different format:
Eratosthenes experiments from home during lockdown drill. Students and teachers from 32 schools over 4 continents realized 432 collaborative measures from march 18th to May 17th.
Continuité pédagogique durant la procédure de confinement. Durant chacun de ces 61 jours de confinement du 18 mars au 17 mai, 432 mesures ont été effectuées par 32 établissements scolaires ou institutions éducatives.
Students and teachers from 16 schools measured shadow at local noon from home on this special day, to calculate the circumference of the Earth.
