Partners

In order to develop its programs in France and abroad, the Fondation La main à la pâte is supported by a vast network of partners.

Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research

The Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research supports the Fondation La main à la pâte programs that help give new life to science and technology teaching. La main à la pâte is a hub of innovation in the educational system. Its goals and methods are set by a framework agreement between the Foundation, the Académie des Sciences and the Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research. This agreement was renewed in January 2013, with an amendment made yearly to the agreement.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and international development assists and supports the international development of La main à la pâte, and has done so since its beginnings. Through the General Directorate for Globalization, Development and Partnerships (DGM), it provides significant support to the organization of an international seminar, which it greatly contributed to organizing.  French embassies are also conveyors for the La main à la pâte programs abroad (logistic support for training, instigating partnerships with education networks, etc.).

This partnership was strengthened by the signing of agreements with the ministry (February 2014) and the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE in 2009). This agency supports the La main à la pâte initiatives in its schools abroad (training courses for teachers, distribution of tools and resources, etc.) and develops partnerships with local agencies in science teaching.

National Agency for Social Cohesion and Equal Opportunities (ACSÉ)

ACSÉ Supports the network of La main à la pâte pilot centres, helping establish the following objectives: monitor, manage and maintain the network, strengthening it in difficult zones and extending it to cover all of France; extending existing programs to middle school classes as part of the integrated science and technology teaching initiative; organize a national event over two days and a national conference, and expand class observation of the various programs.

Investissements d'avenir

La Fondation La main à la pâte receives funding from Investissements d’avenir, for its contribution to the cultivation of science and technology, through the National Agency for Urban Renewal (ANRU), to set up the Houses for Science for Teachers.

Académie des technologies

The Académie des technologies works together with Fondation La main à la pâte as part of the integrated science and technology teaching initiative in middle schools.

Fondation Christophe et Rodolphe Mérieux

Established in 2001 in the memory of Rodolphe Mérieux, it changed its name to 'Fondation Christophe et Rodolphe Mérieux' in 2007.

This independent organization is placed under the aegis of the Institut de France. Its mission is to contribute to the creation of health training centers, diagnosis and treatment in developing countries.
